Understanding Attributes of Super-users of Information Systems

The role of super-users is important in being able to utilize information systems (IS) successfully in organizations. In this research, we propose using the Repertory Grid technique to understand attributes of super-users of information systems. Super-users are distinguished from other users by their level of accomplishment that far exceeds other users. By identifying the attributes of super-users, we can more readily understand the factors that contribute to higher level IS competence. These findings may give indications of attributes that can potentially be fostered in other users. Word Count: 2,456 (excluding references)
